Parks in a Pandemic

This handbook provides a concise set of recommended measures in a Park space during a pandemic. It is designed to aid anyone or any organisation which is responsible for maintaining public spaces.

The set of recommendations is based on existing research and knowledge on the spread of the influenza Sars Covid-19, and efforts to mitigate the transmission. The recommendations are also taken from current research and understanding of how people respond to existing measures.

The handbook serves as a template for Park management to incorporate into their safety measures. These measures form the foundation and guidelines to which management can adapt or alter based on the evolving needs or threats of the space. Thus, scientific advice and design consultants are important in building a holistic and safe park.
