How can a space encourage fellowshipping and youths to connect with each other? With a limited budget, the Nexus Team desired breakout spaces where its youths and young adults are able to hang around and share their thoughts post services. They also wished for ways to be able to personalise the hall with various artefacts that were able to be kept easily.

The concept thus lay in the idea of very loose and movable objects capable of setting up quickly. Metal grid walls allow space division while allowing members to decorate and hang objects such as pictures or drawings, bringing their own personalities to the space. These writings on the wall bring familiarity as its members enter the hall. Carpets help demarcate a place of rest, and together with soft pillows, beanbags and benches, invite people to gather and organise the space as desired. The areas closest to the entrance encourage bigger groups, while the areas on the opposite side of the hall are quieter, and a smaller area for smaller groups facilitates private conversations.
